For Immediate Release - Women's Fund - Task Force

February 8, 2015

We are excited to unveil a new task force charged with finding solutions that will lead women to economic self-sufficiency, an issue that has surfaced on a national scale as well as locally. The Task force on Pathways for Women to a Living Wage is a cross-sector collaborative group, co-chaired by Valerie Bassett of the Women's Fund of Southeastern MA and Jean Fox of the Bristol County Commission on the Status of Women. Its first meeting drew over 30 people. The group will study the issue over six months and release recommendations in the fall. Attached is a press release with details about the task force. We believe this is a pressing issue for our community and hope with your help to begin a community-wide conversation.
